TABLE OF CONTENTS

When creating a new Group you will be able to copy the fields and dashboard layout of any current Group to the new one. This will be particularly useful if your program uses a new Group each year, or if your program requires the use of multiple Groups with the same or similar dashboard layouts.

Step 1: Create a New Group

  1. On the left, in your Mission Control, click Groups.

  2. In the Create a Group section on the next page:

  3. Enter a title for this Association, such as “Beneficiary Database”, “2018-19 Students”, or Students in Program X”.
Note that the text you enter here is the same text that appears to the left of the Identifier list on the reports, so if you’d like to be as clear as possible to your reporters when they complete their reports, you may want to title the Association something like, “All Students You Served in the Math Program Last Week”).

  4. Click the Create button.

Step 2: Copy the Group Dashboard Layout

Once you’ve created the new Group or Groups, next you will go to the Profile Layout Manager for the Group’s profile that you’d like to copy.

  1. On the left, in your Mission Control, click Groups.

  2. Under Manage Groups, use the drop-down menu select the Group with the profile layout you would like to copy.

  3. On the right, use the More menu and select Manage Profile Layouts and Fields.

  4. Select which layout you would like to work on: Profile Layout for Staff or Profile Layout for Reporters.

  5. On the right, use the More menu to select the Copy Profile Layout link.

  6. Next a pop-up window will appear. Note: The window will first show you which Group you’ve chosen to copy and which view (either Staff or Reporter or both: Staff/Reporter View).

  7. Next, choose which Group to copy the current profile layout to by clicking the Assign link. (This will likely be the new Group or Groups you just created.)

  8. Tell the system which view you would like to apply the copy to by checking either Staff, Reporter, or both boxes.

  9. Finally, select the panels, sub-panels, and fields that you would like to copy.

  10. Click Submit to finalize.

  11. After you’ve done this, you can access your copied layout by click the Mission Control link on the top right.

  12. Then, on the left in your Mission Control, click Groups.

  13. Under Manage Groups, use the drop-down menu select the Group.

  14.  On the right, use the More menu and select Manage Profile Layouts and Fields.
