To access any reporter's profile:
- On the left, in your Mission Control, click Reporters, Staff, & Sites.
- On the right, click Manage reporter accounts.
- Find the reporter's name in the table and click it. You can make changes to any panel or sub-panel by using the Edit buttons on the right and by clicking Update.
When you click on a non-PDF file in the Impact Suite, it will automatically download to your computer. To maintain compliance with protected information, please follow these steps to remove the file completely from your local machine:
Part 1: Deleting the Downloaded File
- Locate your Downloads folder: This is usually found in your File Explorer (Windows) or Finder (Mac). You can typically access it quickly from the sidebar or by searching for "Downloads."
- Identify the file: Look for the file you just downloaded from the Impact Suite. It will likely be the most recent file in the folder.
- Select the file: Click on the file to select it.
- Delete the file:
- Windows: Press the Delete key on your keyboard, or right-click on the file and select "Delete" from the context menu.
- Mac: Press the Command and Delete keys, or right-click (or Control-click) on the file and select "Move to Trash."
Part 2: Emptying the Recycle Bin (Windows) or Trash (Mac)
After deleting the file, it is temporarily stored in the Recycle Bin (Windows) or Trash (Mac). To permanently remove it, you need to empty this.
For Mac Users:
- Locate the Trash: This icon is usually in your Dock.
- Open the Trash: Click on the Trash icon in the Dock.
- Empty the Trash:
- To delete all files permanently, click the "Empty" button in the upper-right corner of the Finder window, or right-click (or Control-click) on the Trash icon in the Dock and select "Empty Trash."
- A confirmation window will appear asking if you are sure you want to permanently delete the items in the Trash. Click "Empty Trash."
For Windows Users:
- Locate the Recycle Bin: This icon is usually on your desktop.
- Open the Recycle Bin: Double-click the Recycle Bin icon.
- Empty the Recycle Bin:
- To delete all files permanently, click the "Empty Recycle Bin" button in the toolbar or right-click on the Recycle Bin icon on your desktop and select "Empty Recycle Bin."
- A confirmation window will appear asking if you are sure you want to permanently 1 delete these items. Click "Yes."
