Bulk Actions: Archiving Identifiers
Follow these steps to archive Identifiers.
On the left, in your Mission Control, click Groups.
Find the section called Manage Groups and use the drop-down menu to choose the Group from which you would like to archive Identifiers.
- You may wish to use the Customize a View features to quickly see additional details for Identifiers when archiving.
Example: You want to archive all of the students connected to a specific reporter. Use the Customize a View feature to reveal the Reporter Assignment (found in the Assignment Details panel). - Once you have located the Identifier(s) you would like to archive, check the box to the left.
- Use the Select Action drop-down menu and select Archive Selected.
You will see a confirmation message once the Identifiers have been archived.
Individual Actions: Archiving Identifiers
On the left, in your Mission Control, click Groups.
Find the section called Manage Groups and use the drop-down menu to choose the Group from which you would like to archive Identifiers.
- On the next page, use the search features to find the Identifier you would like to archive and click the Edit link next to the Identifier.
- When the window opens, use toggle the Status drop-down from Active to Archived.
- Scroll to the bottom of the window and click Update to save your change.
What Does and Does Not Happen when I Archive an Identifier
Once an Identifier is archived the following happens:
- Reporter Assignments are not automatically disconnected. It’s important to note that when you archive an Identifier, reporter assignments are NOT removed.
When an Identifier is archived you’ll see the word ‘(Archived)’ on the reporter’s profile page (in the Associations panel). Like this: - From the reporters’ point of view, archived Identifiers will not appear in list of Identifiers the reporter is connected to or in the pink box at the top of reports.
Restoring Archived Identifiers
If you ever need to restore an identifier (make them active once more), follow these steps.
On the left, in your Mission Control, click Groups.
Find the section called Manage Groups and use the drop-down menu to choose the Group from which you would like to restore Identifiers.
- Use the Customize a View feature to view your archived identifiers.
- Next, check the box to the left of the archived reporter you would like to restore.
- Use the Select Action drop-down menu and click Restore Selected.
