Link a Series of Surveys to Timesheets
If you would like to link a series of surveys to a series of timesheet periods from the same template (meaning the timesheet will not be able to be submitted until the linked survey is submitted), then you will want to follow these steps.
Follow these steps to link your timesheets to a series of surveys.
- On the left, in your Mission Control, click Survey Management.
- On the right, click Schedule new launches.
- Select a Form > Click Set.
- Select a Frequency > Choose: Link Survey to Timesheet Periods.
- Choose the template to link to.
- Choose the Begin with timesheet period.
- Choose the End with timesheet period.
- Set the survey to be extended for any number of days (optional).
- Review the Summary.
- Click Set.

- Choose the template to link to.
- Follow the remainder of the steps to complete the launch.
Link Individual Surveys to Timesheet Periods
If you need more flexibility and would like to link individual surveys to one or more timesheet periods (perhaps across timesheet templates) (meaning the timesheet will not be able to be submitted until the linked survey is submitted), then you will want to follow these steps.
Follow these steps to link your timesheets to your survey.
- On the left, in your Mission Control, click Survey Management.
- On the right, click Schedule new launches.
- Select a Form > Click Set.
- Select a Frequency > Choose either: One Time, Weekly, or Monthly. > Follow the steps to set start dates, extensions, and final launch dates. > Click Set.
- Link Surveys to Timesheet Periods.
- Select the launch period you would like to link timesheets to.
- Select the Timesheet Template.
- Select the timesheet period(s) that you would like to link to the selected launch. Repeat as needed for each launch period you would like to link
- To move to the next step, click Set.

- Select the launch period you would like to link timesheets to.
- Follow the remainder of the steps to complete the launch.
What Happens when I Link a Report to a Timesheet Period?
When you link a report to a timesheet, reporters will be asked to complete their report before submitting their time.

What Happens If Linked Report Closes?
When reporters attempt to submit timesheets that are linked to closed reports, they will see a message like this one:

They will be able to generate an email to the program administrator.
The administrator will need to extend the report so that reporters can submit it and any linked timesheets.
