Editing Qualitative Single and Multi-select Questions

You can edit the values used in single and multi-select questions at any time. This is useful especially when you would like to reuse a question but the response options have changed.

For example, perhaps you have a regular question on your report asking reporters if they’d like to sign up for upcoming training opportunities, and the dates and times of these opportunities change between reporting periods. You can update the response options by following these steps:

  1. On the left, in your Mission Control, click Report Management.

  2. On the right, click Create and manage questions.

  3. On the right, open the category and find the question you would like to update. Click the Edit icon (paper with pencil) to open the question.

  4. When the question opens, find the section called Enter Answer Choices (Required).

  5. From here you can:

    a) Add new response options by entering them in top box and then clicking Add.

    b) Edit currently active options by selecting them one at a time. The selection will appear in the top box (a). Make any changes and click Add.

    c) Reorder Active Options by using the arrows found to the right of the middle box.

    d) Move Active Options to Inactive and re-activate options by using the arrows between the second and thirrd boxes.

  6. To save your changes, scroll to the bottom of the question and click Edit this Question.
