removing the time stamp from the audit trail

Modified on Wed, 10 May 2023 at 12:40 PM

In your time sheet template you can remove the timestamp from the audit trail. This feature maintains full compliance with 2 CFR 200.430 while ensuring your program doesn't share more information than required.

Updating Your Time Sheet Template

To turn on this feature follow these steps:

  1. On the left, in your Mission Control, click Time Sheets.

  2. On the right, click Create & manage time sheet templates.

  3. On the right, select the template that you’d like to update.

  4. Near the bottom you'll find a section called Audit Trail Customization. Choose the option that best suits your program:
Any changes and updates made to your template are saved automatically and happen instantaneously.

More on Audit Trail Customization

Customize the Audit Trail View. This determines how you view the date and/or time the time sheets were:

  • Submitted
  • Approved
  • Returned for edits
  • Re-submitted (after corrections were made)
  • Re-Approved (after edits were approved)

In these instances, choose whether or not you would like the audit trail to:

  1. Include date stamps and time stamps of all activity (Pacific Time); or
  2. Include only date stamps of all activity (Pacific Time).

NOTE: This choice will be reflected in all the places where the Audit Trail is displayed:

  • Time Sheet Totals Report (View on Screen).
  • All Time Sheet Report Exports.
  • All Exported Time Sheets (Full and Condensed Reports).
