Using 'Magic Fields' to Map Fields in signNow

signNow has a great feature that auto-recongizes where fillable fields should be in a document and maps them for you. This can be a huge time saver! Here's how to utilize this feature:
  1. In America Learns, navigate to the field you'd like to upload a new document for and select either "Upload Another Document" or "Add Signing Fields & Assign Signers."

  2. Follow your normal signNow document upload flow (review the complete process here if needed). If you click "Upload Another Document" at Step 1, be sure to assign a signing flow that matches the signing flow on your previous template.

  3. Upload the document you would like signed.
  4. Once your document is ready, click Settings in the upper right-hand corner.

  5. In the drop-down menu that appears, select Magic Fields.

  6. Next, a pop-up window will appear indicating how many fields were found on the document. You will need to assign all the fields to a specific signing role.

  7. That's it! If your document is eligible, fields will be mapped. Be sure to make the necessary adjustments to your signers, field types, mandatory settings, etc.

NOTE: Magic Fields is unable to detect fields in some documents (e.g. I9 or W4) and does not detect specific field types (e.g. bullet points or check boxes).
